Policy and incentives - Objective:
WP5 will analyse policy requirements, barriers and enablers, and incentives and nudges encouraging protection and restoration of soil biodiversity, and develop tools and policy recommendations. - Description:
WP5 will analyse policy requirements, barriers and enablers, as well as economic incentive schemes delivering on sustainable soil management and preserving/restoring soil biodiversity. The forthcoming carbon farming certification system will be analysed under the soil biodiversity perspective, assessing the opportunity to include additional indicators or general criteria that can feed other instruments like labelling schemes or within policy updates.
