Economic valuation of the ecosystem services associated to soil biodiversity - Objective:
WP4 focuses on the economic valuation of the ES delivered by soil and associated to soil organisms, considering the characteristics of the different land uses and biogeographic regions. - Description:
WP4 will provide a comprehensive framework that will support related economic values that soil biodiversity generates on the provision of ES by land use and biogeographic region. The selected ES by relevant stakeholders in Task 2.1 will be economically valued. Economic valuations, including market and non-market values, will be based on biophysical information and datasets (Tasks 2.3-4). Relationships between ES and soil biodiversity from Task 3.1 will allow understanding and measuring the contribution of soil biodiversity that will be translated into economic units.
